Immerse yourself in the excellence of the doctoral training offered by the L'Institut Agro Montpellier. Our doctoral studies programme prepares students for the doctorate diploma (Phd) awarded jointly by the Institut Agro and the University of Montpellier. Working closely with renowned research organisations, we train Phd students for careers in research and innovation, both academically and professionally, in France and internationally. L’Institut Agro graduates future leaders in research and innovation with a strong ability to manage complex, interdisciplinary problems and to meet the challenges of sustainable agriculture and food.

L'Institut Agro Montpellier’s scientific policy encourages the research results produced by its researcher-professors and PhD students to be shared on HAL - the national archive platform. It also encourages students' final dissertations to be valued. L'Institut Agro Montpellier thus fully adheres to the Digital Republic linked to open access.

Academic mobility can take place over an entire year, or over one semester (autumn or spring). Internships can take place any time during the year.

Montpellier SupAgro provides the space and equipment needed to organize and host local, national, and international level scientific events. Numerous meetings, conventions, seminars, and conferences are held on the campus every year.

L'Institut Agro Montpellier is accompanying the digital transition of Agriculture! Since 2016, in partnership with Bordeaux Sciences Agro, it has held the AgroTIC Chair dedicated to digital agriculture.

Students from universities with which L'Institut Agro Montpellier has signed an exchange agreement can come to take courses in agronomy, agri-food and the management of rural areas and combine this with an internship.
