L'Institut Agro Montpellier has been working with INRAE Occitanie-Montpellier Centre since 2010 to promote sustainable development on our campuses.
L'Institut Agro Montpellier introduced Plan Vert 2015-2019 and PMAE 2016-2020. Addressing both staff and students, this plan presents clear objectives to achieve more sustainable development within our institution.
Encourage responsible consumption
Turn the lunchbreak into a friendly, relaxing moment. Discover new foods. See the canteen transformed into a responsible restaurant.
Reduce our carbon footprint
Limit our impact on the climate by promoting green transportation and videoconferencing.

Conserve our natural heritage
Exotic and Mediterranean vegetation flourish across the Montpellier SupAgro campus. In the arboretum, pathways meander through mature trees, some representing very rare species. The experimental vineyard, planted with 32 vine varieties, is a living classroom, and the vegetable garden is open to all students and staff.
Promote gender equality
In 2013, Montpellier SupAgro signed the Gender Parity Charter developed by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, a non-profit association of higher education institutions in France. Since then, we have regularly conducted surveys to assess and promote gender equality among students and staff.
Build a diverse student body
Montpellier SupAgro has signed two conventions seeking to encourage candidates from diverse social and economic backgrounds to join our institution. Assistance is provided to individuals requiring extra support in the application process.
