A 3 Years PhD programme

This three-year formation, accessible after obtaining a Master's degree (and engineer), is aimed at students (or prospective students) who wish to pursue a career in academic research, in companies and/or in international structures. At the end of the formation, students are awarded the degree of Doctor, following an evaluation of their thesis manuscript and an oral presentation.

Meeting global challenges

The programme covers a wide range of topics that are essential for addressing the challenges of agriculture, food, and environment. Research topics span a broad spectrum, including biological, socio-economic, and physical sciences. The research conducted by PhD students at Institut Agro focuses on managing agricultural production, sustainable food and bioresource processing, natural resource management and governance.

A strong professional experience

The students work in collaboration with universities and research organizations, particularly INRAE, CIRAD, IRD and CNRS, and commit to a three-year scientific project. This PhD training programme provides students with a diverse and unique professional experience, allowing them to acquire scientific and cross-disciplinary skills. Additionally, our international commitment through the cotutelle thesis scheme and professional partnerships via the CIFRE thesis scheme offer career prospects in international organisations and companies.
