Capp’O Sud aims to raise awareness and support business ventures for economic development in the South.
Capp’O Sud relies on the DEFIS team and researcher-professors from the Institute for Higher Education in Tropical and Sub-Tropical Agri-Food Sciences of Montpellier SupAgro. We work closely with Agro Valo Mediterranée business incubator and Montpellier SupAgro’s partnership division.
Who do we help? To do what?
Capp’O Sud is intended for anyone interested in starting a business activity or company in North Africa, West Africa, South America or Asia, whether they be students, graduates, or project holders from outside SupAgro.
For and with students from Montpellier SupAgro and other schools: define and develop plans for a start-up, explore and better understand the creation and management of a company or business activity, start an activity in one of Montpellier SupAgro’s teaching and research fields.
For companies, communities and associations: provide support by tapping all of Montpellier SupAgro’s resources, including our networks and numerous partners invested in the development of the South. Capp’O Sud does not provide direct funding.

Services
Capp’O Sud offers all of its expertise, experience, and professional relationships to business efforts revolving around agronomy, agricultural development, agri-food, and the environment in the North and South. It also strives to develop entrepreneurship (awareness raising, training, detection, incubator of innovative companies in France, etc.).
The services are:
- scientific and technical
- methodologic, particularly for drawing up business plans, commercial and marketing feasibility analyses…
- relational, thanks to an important partner network – public education and research establishments, laboratories, development actors, diverse companies, SupAgro graduates – from around the world, particularly in the South.
