The “Agrifood marketing and sales” master’s programme aims to train future executives capable of promoting sales within agribusinesses, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small and medium-sized industries (SMI), in different distribution networks such as supermarkets and hypermarkets.
Organized as a work-study programme, this course gives students extensive professional experience, which is a real asset for their professional integration. Students sign an apprenticeship contract with their host enterprise. Throughout the training course, IFRIA and the teaching directors of the master’s programme provide individualized support.

The “Agrifood marketing and sales programme” was set up by the Institut de Formation Régional des Industries Agro-Alimentaires (IFRIA - Occitanie), a regional training institute specialized in the agrifood industry, which chose Montpellier SupAgro and Montpellier Management/University of Montpellier as partners to organize and provide the training from the bachelor (Licence 3) to master’s (Master 2) level.
Programme
Number of ECTS credits : 60 ECTS per year
Language of instruction : In French
The two-year work-study programme includes periods in a company and periods of classes in the training institutions. Students spend one to two weeks in class per month, and the rest of the time working in the company.
A total of 16 weeks of courses are scheduled in Master 1 (or 510 hours of training) and 13 weeks in Master 2 (corresponding to 420 hours of training).
30 weeks per year in a company and 16 weeks in class.
35 weeks a year in a company and 12 weeks of classes; a significant amount of instruction is provided by professionals in the field.
Admissions
Students benefit from a double enrolment due to the co-accreditation between Montpellier SupAgro and the University of Montpellier (UM).
The principal enrolment is made on the Montpellier Management website.
A two-year apprenticeship contract also will be signed.
