Montpellier SupAgro provides the space and equipment needed to organize and host local, national, and international level scientific events. Numerous meetings, conventions, seminars, and conferences are held on the campus every year.

Since the 1980s, the acceleration of global trade, greater awareness of the negative effects of certain forms of agriculture on the environment and health related directly to homogenization, and the simplification of production systems based on a high use of inputs, led to a rethinking of farming systems. Maintaining or even increasing agricultural production in a sustainable way now requires the mobilization of ecological processes linked to resource dynamics, particularly through the management of local biodiversity.

CAPeye is a monitoring, training and expertise unit focussed on the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). It allows one to follow news about the CAP and understand changes in the policy. It is a tool that can be used by students and teachers, but also the media, professionals and researchers. CAPeye is managed from within the Department of Economics, Management and Social Sciences at Montpellier SupAgro.
