The Department of Sciences for Agro-Bio-Processes covers a wide range of disciplines: mathematics and their interactions, information technology and applications, optics and photonics systems, mechanics of fluid environments, automatic and computer-integrated & robotic, Process engineering, agrifood biotechnologies & food sciences, theoretical and physical & analytical chemistry, biology of organisms & microbial biotechnology.

The department staff are assigned to eight research units (G-Eau, IATE, ITAP, UPR LBE, Mistea, QualiSud, SPO), grouped by discipline and the diverse themes and topics studied (agriculture, agronomy, wine, cereals, fruit, non-food...).
